Some scoops have the # located in a different place (i.e. bottom of the handle, etc). I for normal size cookies I usually use a #40 or #60 size scoop depending on the cookie and how much it will spread. The #40 holds just over 1 1/2 tablespoons of dough. The #60 holds just over a tablespoon. I'm thinking you would want to try #40 for your cookies.
